500TC PIMA COTTON SHEET SET

Pima Cotton (Pima/Pima Cotton): A collective name for the finest extra long-staple cotton, Pima cotton, 
formerly known as American Egyptian Cotton, is now named after the tradition of growing and hand-picking 
cotton by the Pima Indians in the southwestern United States. 

1. More slender. The lint fiber length of Pima cotton is 35% longer than that of ordinary cotton, which 
greatly increases the softness and gloss of the fabric. Pima cotton has fewer fiber ends exposed, which 
minimizes abrasion and reduces the effects of pilling. 
2. Stronger. The fiber strength of Pima cotton is 45% higher than that of ordinary cotton, which makes 
Pima cotton products extra elastic. Even the lighter weight Pima cotton fabric is extremely durable, while 
providing greater drape and comfort. 
3. More active. Pima cotton fibers are more reactive than ordinary cotton fibers, so they are easier to 
color and have stronger color fastness. This means that Pima cotton products will retain their vibrant 
colors even if you use them for many years.
